Miltons is delighted to introduce a new varifocal lens from Zeiss called Drivesafe. Many people feel insecure, uncomfortable and stressed when driving, especially in difficult light and weather conditions such as rain and mist, or at dusk or at night. Over 80% of spectacle lens wearers also drive. Driving can be a real challenge for everybody – no matter how long the distance, good vision is vital for safety. ZEISS DriveSafe Lenses are specifically designed to meet the vision needs of people who want to feel safer and more comfortable when driving with their everyday lenses. The unique Zeiss Drivesafe coating offers better vision in low-light conditions for safer and more comfortable driving. The coating also reduces glare at night from oncoming cars and street lights. The lens offers clear visibility of the road, dashboard, rear-view mirror and side
It is important to have children’s eyes checked regularly, at least once every 2 years. Inefficient vision can contribute to poor performance in the classroom. Ute Heldt , one of our resident optometrists, is a specialist in paediatric optometry, being part of the paediatric ophthalmology team at the Royal Free Hospital. Ute is available Wednesday mornings, Fridays and most Saturdays at Milton’s.
The fee for a fully comprehensive paediatric eye examination by Ute at Miltons is currently covered by the NHS. We have an extensive range of children’s frames, including brands like Ray ban, Crocs and Lacoste. For a limited period, we will be offering a range free frames together with lenses which is covered by the cost of an NHS voucher.
