David Harrisberg qualified in South Africa in 1977 achieving the best student of the year award. He then studied in the UK. David has been an optometrist both in private practice and is the lead contact lens practitioner at the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead, where he has worked for over 35 years . David’s passion outside optometry is aviation. He is an advanced flying instructor and examiner.
Dispensing Optician and Practice Manager
Jelica qualified as a dispensing optician at City and Islington, London. She has over 20 year experience in ophthalmic dispensing working both in Independent practices and Domicilary (Home visits to the ill and infirm) care.
Jelica joined Miltons in 1999 and has particular interest in peadiatric vision having worked alongside the optometrists and ophthalmologists in the Eye clinic at Royal Free hospital.
When Jelica is not working she is kept busy with taking her 2 boys to Karate, Football and swimming activities.
Elia qualified from Aston University and completed his post graduate training at what is now called The Institute of Optometry.
Elia has been practicing for almost 30 years having worked only in Independent practices and hospitals. His area of interest within optometry is contact lens work.
In his spare time Elia loves the outdoors enjoying running and hiking. He has trekked in the Himalayas and adventures in the Scottish Highlands.
Darcie has worked at Miltons since 2007. She qualified in South Africa and did her pre-registration at Miltons in Johannesburg working with David’s late father. Before leaving South Africa Darcie worked for one of the leading spectacle lens brands. She has lived in the UK 21 years.
Her particular area of interest lies in speciality spectacle lenses. Darcie likes to dispense lenses that will give her patient optimum visual comfort to suit their life style.
In her spare time Darcie enjoys reading, spending time with her family, walking the family dog on interesting walks. She also sits on various charity committees including Israeli Guide Dogs for the Blind.
Manisha qualified 13 years ago, she has a real passion for optometry. She has worked with many different opticians all over the country, which has helped her refine her skills immensely and gain invaluable experience.
Manisha joined Miltons Eyecare 2 years ago and has enjoyed the new challenges developing her career further expanding on new skills.
Outside of work she spends time on her hobbies which include travelling, reading, baking, and (to balance out all the cooking!) Manisha also enjoys playing various sport.
Ute has worked in Miltons for over 20 years. As well as working at Miltons, she is also a senior optometrist working in the Paediatric clinic in the Ophthalmology department at The Royal Free Hospital.
Ute has a wealth of experience in fitting complex contact lenses and sees many different eye conditions. She also has a particular interest in working with children.
